Pelvic Health Rehabilitation

Pelvic health physiotherapy addresses conditions affecting the pelvis and pelvic floor. Physiotherapists with specialised training in this area assess muscle strength and control, of the pelvic floor and whole-body assessment. Treatment involves individualised approaches, including pelvic floor exercises, breath work, mobility, and strength exercises, as well as lifestyle adjustments.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Mary is an experienced physiotherapist with over 15 years of practice in New Zealand. She graduated from the University of Ulster in Ireland in 2009 and began her career in private practice, focusing on musculoskeletal conditions. As her experience grew, she expanded into hospital settings, broadening her skill set.

Her passion for pelvic health began during her time as a student in a maternity hospital in Belfast, and it has since become the core of her work. After completing post-graduate training, Mary has specialised over the past 13 years in helping both men and women with pelvic health issues, including pelvic pain, incontinence, prehab, and recovery after surgery or childbirth.

Mary takes a holistic approach to pelvic health, treating the whole person, not just the condition. She is committed to ongoing education and skill development to ensure that her patients receive the most up-to-date care, tailored to their unique needs. Her goal is always to guide her patients back to better health and improve their quality of life.
